Although we have only just set up this blog, the planning for the sponsored walk began several months ago no doubt one night when a bottle (or two) of wine had been opened. With most of the logistics taken care of, the walk to the Three Brethern from Yarrowford while, the most recent, was by no means the first. However, consensus of opinion was that it certainly is bad to beat for views. We are so lucky to live in an area like the Borders with beautiful scenery on our doorstep and the crowds of day walkers bypassing us enroute to the Lake District or further north which means we basically have it to ourselves. Other walks to date include many round Teviothead, taking in Skelfill Pen, Carlenrig, Lairhope and Penchrise Pen. We have even ventured into Roberton, enjoyed the Abbey Route from Hawick to Selkirk and a circular route over the Eildons to Bowden, Newtown and along the banks of the Tweed to Newstead. There has been a lot of laughs along the way and plenty of banter, not to mention cakes and tea.Hopefully we can get one or two pics from previous walks up share with you.
